Version 1.53 1.54, some improvements to the avatar view button code. The viewpoint doesn't move your around the world now when you click it.

I quickly fixed a bug in the 1.53 code, now it works just the same as 3rd person view in bxx.

I guess that just leaves the places list and the avatar bug in cortona to fix.

Basically the av doesn't stay in front of you if you use Cortona, it just looks strange. Some of the code avatar studio produces isn't standard vrml and cortona doesn't like it. I can fix it, but that means every single av needs to be altered as well.

I made this a few days ago, but couldn't put it online due to all the internet problems I've had lately, firstly my website went down, and my entire ISP. Shit

VP3d chat room generator

Works just like the bxx frameset generator, only uses 100% vrml. Plus as an added bonus allows you can add proper lighting to existing online worlds.

Ideal for clueless Flux Studio users bounce

OS = Win XP SP2

Good luck with it !

I found Alain's seamless3d test in there, would have worked better if he deleted the black fog from the world lol, and the wacky viewpoint FOV.

Also worlds need to have the Viewpoint FOV set to its default value:

fieldOfView 0.785398

Ah there is a second way to add lighting, when the world has loaded.

swap: &lighting=0
for: &lighting=1

I found Jokina in bxx but AFK so I make this.

I usually do recommend Floppy's VRML manual to people wanting to get started with handcoded VRML. I like it pretty much and still use it from time to time Embarassed

After having a look at your new proto I had a look at Floppy's (trying to understand what was going on) and couldn't do anything else than smile Smile when I did get to read what it says about the Browser.replaceWorld method

Quote:

As you can see, these methods are also fairly basic stuff, not doing anything really amazing...

Very Happy

Lol, more than amazing what you did with it, Fab.

Congrats for it.

Peter pig

P.S.: once mentioned, I should provide the link to Floppy's. Here it goes :

PostSubject: Re: 3D chats alternatives 2007   Mon 29 Oct - 6:45

VP3D chat is down at the moment, due to changing servers and various other changes needed.

When it does come back it will be in a different format. I need to add a way of checking new worlds before they get added to the list (half the worlds on that list didn't work properly).

I have a much improved version of the chat and a world to go with it, installing and getting that up and running takes priority. Which means the public chat will get dealt with at a later time.
