and the "haricotmagique" is a very good one .....

isa has a way to use "cissors " in Flux Studio ,
and to "smooth" the shapes after that ,

and it makes all very original

PostSubject: Re: isa   Wed 10 Jan - 0:11

What the fuck ?!? ISA, you're a HACKER !!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I owe you all some apologies, because

all that n3dme stuff is not very much finished yet Confused So you all are experimenting some troubles with it.

Anyhow, here goes my proposal for making a link to the chat, using your own world :

http://3dchat.3d-check.com/index.htm?http://site.voila.fr/isa37/haricotmagic/Untitled1_preview.wrl%25%25Incognito%25%25avts/neutrum.wrl%25%25TRUE

What are it's components ?

Let's see study

http://3dchat.3d-check.com/index.htm

this is the base URL of the chat. It should not be changed, because it's the only place where this server is installed by now.

?

the questionmark means, that the URL is being followed by a "query string", that means, some parameters to be read out by the server or, in this case, by the client (your Browser). This sign is important, and must be left here.

And here go the parameters, that we send to the server :

http://site.voila.fr/isa37/haricotmagic/Untitled1_preview.wrl

Here you can write the URL of the *.wrl file you want to open in chat. You may write every url here. If the url has got some special characters, they need to be escaped.

This was the first parameter to be passed to the server. It needs to be separated from the next parameter by a "separator". In n3dme's case, the separator is %% ... but this needs to be escaped, so it needs to be written as :

%25%25

so far the "separator".

Incognito

is the Nickname. I set it to Incognito .... not "Alain" nor "Gargo" nor "Isa" What a Face

I have seen people (very young people probably), using those

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ÑÑÑ%%%+++<<<<oiloiloiloiloiloi>>>>++++%%%ÑÑÑ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

nicks Very Happy lol, well, that seems to be to nicknames, the same as piercing and tatoos to our body, so I decided to allow such things inside the chat, but it will only work if you use it from within the login - form, because from there, the characters are filtered out and url-encoded. If you use it inside this url, probaly you will get some "unexpected results" ... please, don't do it What the fuck ?!? .... kids!!!! affraid

%25%25

is just another separator, because another parameter follows :

avts/neutrum.wrl

yes, this is the Avatar to be used. I put here the default avatar. If you want a world full of "Zenors" ... you could put Alain's avatar here, as well as any other.

%25%25

that was the last separator, before the last parameter :

TRUE

this last parameter tells the script, to stop at the login screen, so that the guest gets the opportunity to change his nickname or his avatar. If you set it to FALSE the guest will be launched directly into the chat, with the avatar and the nickname you have given to him.

TRUE is more flexible but the visitor needs to push the login button at least, for joining the chat.

FALSE is automatic, but the visitor has no chance to choose an own nickname nor an avatar.

So, this sort of link, you may use it for having a link on a webpage, using

Quote :
<a href="this_link" target="_new">click here</a>

or inside button or a script or a crazy forum Very Happy

http://3dchat.3d-check.com/index.htm?http://site.voila.fr/isa37/haricotmagic/Untitled1_preview.wrl%25%25Incognito%25%25avts/neutrum.wrl%25%25TRUE

I hope it helps, and I promise to have a better version for next year's Blaxxun Down.

Thank you for being my very best "Beta Tester", Isa cheers

Hi Kids!

Just back after 2 days of moderate food poisoning (old juice, I think).

Finding everyone contributing... What the fuck ?!? Mr. Green Mr.Red pig

1. Alain's "seamless" configuration of fabricator's chat list embedded beside Peter's interface. "Sexy"!

2. isa's wonderful cutter forms (tres belle!) and tests with Peter's interface (congrats isa!! yes, you are a "Hacker" now lol)

3. And, again Master Peter astonishes us with super-useful techo-babble (that makes sense!) above.

I am getting up now at 5:30 in the morning (after "sleeping" 2 days).
Time for coffee, eh, Alain? I don't want that

shakng2 No, no, no ... Isa, I was very happy to see you testing with that and I wish you go ahead with it. I just was trying to explain how the url is used the best way, and what choices it allows.

The links you did post, did work perfectly, but you can write there a more "general" nickname and a more general "avatar url", so nobody would appear in the world with another one's identity...

Bissous,

Okay Peter, we are getting off thread (isn't this isa's? ha ha)

1. The poison juice was mango-passionfruit processed with a touch of milk. I left it out for hours one day, then put it back in the fridge. It did not taste different, so I drank it on Monday. I have been suffering a great inhumanity for 3 days.

2.

You quoted my oxymoron out of context by leaving out the comment in parenthesises (now, that makes no sense! Smile ). I rarely understand techo-babble, but yours is understandable (ie. "makes sense"), which is a compliment. In fact, you have given me some ideas, which I will try.

We now return this thread back to isa (ty isa!) Laughing
