Is like on realy game engines. Well maybe this is a game engine, not a ordinary chat. ThankYou for Your great and nice work. And ofcuorse thankx to Unity3d.

Be well and thanx for the test and the visit For the begining I can say this: The 'engine' is testchat1.unity3d. I need time to understand how work Unity3d Editor. Anyway, I see that exist a JavaScript API, but where is his docummentation ? From now, we can make a lotof chats with a lotof interfaces ... And the scenes and actors are done with 3dMax or maybe Blender ... From now, we have another begining on VR technology for common computers ... All we need is time and documentation . OMG ! Where is that simple and nice language called VRML ?

So ..2 questions , tutanc : 1 - have you unity3d Editor installed ? 2 - Have you the Networking example I got from their site ? 3 - Do you want that I copy for you some of their scripts I try to understand a bit ??

| I add that :
Alas I dont except too much on the relations between vrml and unity , because the bridge is 3DsMax , very expensive and not easy to use ,
but I am able a bit to enter some old vrml shapes into 3DSmax , then getting them in Unity , so ..it is my first goal ...
We will see ... | |

Well, I have the Editor, 2) Allredy I have compiled 'NetWorking' Project 3) What I want is the list with Commands of Unity Web Player, because he is a Web Player, not a game engine. The game engines are *.unity3d files ... With the Editor, infact we BUILD engines ... This Web Player can be a SERVER or a CLIENT If You have some scripts is not so bad to share with us ... And about Your new VRML Project, we wait to see it.

While Unity’s primarily used for 3D graphics, 2D graphics are more than achievable and are seen in nearly every Unity game in interface overlays and menus. Both OpenGL and DirectX are supported, so yes the user’s GPU is being used to handle the heavy lifting of 3D – no big surprise here. Compared to Flash’s Actionscript, Unity Javascript runs roughly 20 times faster. http://www.phenomblue.com/blog/?p=442 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Quote :
- Unity3D
Unity3D is not a virtual world out of the box. It's a 3D development application that lets you sculpt and script your virtual world from within its visual editing environment. Unity3D has the powerful physics engine Ageia PhysX . It supports standard 3D object formats, such as Collada, and models from packages such as Autodesks Maya and 3Ds Max. Worlds are created by using the Unity3D editor and scripting using C# or JavaScript.
Figure 8. Presentations projection in Unity3D
Unity3D can run your 3D applications as either stand-alone desktop applications or, more interestingly, from within a browser plug-in. Many people dismiss the presentation of 3D environments in the browser as a gimmick, with no advantages over stand-alone applications. With Unity3D, however, the benefits are clear. You can communicate with the plug-in using JavaScript, which opens up the possibility to develop UI widgets using HTML and JavaScript that interact with the 3D view. As most developers would agree, writing HTML and JavaScript is a lot easier than writing custom UI code in a 3D application.
Within IBM, Unity3D is being used to prototype lightweight dynamic spaces. It offers potential to provide an interface that's browser accessible, easy-to-use, and that can be tailored to fit the business need. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/webservices/library/ws-virtualspaces/
