Two ways
1-In the old blaxxun servers you have the "chat macros". Look in options menu for them.

These macros are written by the user in the chat window.
Example: write in the chat the macro command: /g1
and the avatar will gesture hello
/g2   is for like and so on

The user can change the macros or create others.
The macro way is simple and very handy.

In babelx3d server there is a gestures menu to further simplify this, making it obvious to the user.


2-To do it differently (as you say CTRL + F -> sitdown / or sit down / or sitting) you need to code it in the world .

The two avs are different
2 reasons:
1-Gestures are not (normally) coded inside the world. Gestures are avatar animations and they must be inside the avatar code. Your avatar does not have the sit animation/gesture
2-musclem2.wrl has 2 things your does not: A) has a sitting gesture and B) probably its idle gesture is also sit, so it always sits when stops walking.

For your avatar to behave in a similar way you need to change it in order to have A) and B)

about the B) the idle gesture he doing sport by moving his body. you can see it on the first second you enter the WRL URL of the avatar.

BTW, this stantartd of gestures was led by 2eme monde.
icity was adopted this standartd and other communties also adopted it.

until someday developed patch for avatar studio 1 (1 not 2) which adding swimming, sitting, dancing and idle gestures to avatars.
i think Canal developed this patch.
but no more download of this patch on internet.

I and vcard we Wonder if the icity server accepts shared event.
