I visited the link you gave me Jicer and saw my avatar and your avatar too but you seemed away. I also saw a number of visitors there.
I was impressed with how good it looked and easy it was to log into the world and by not needing to install a plugin, is it using WebGL?

I am very interested to know how you converted my avatar, what program did you use?

Interesting info Alain. I did not know Afghan refugees were trying to get to Britain all that time ago but I did know Afghans came to Australia many years ago.
They and their camels were very well suited to transporting goods across the Australian outback.
Many of the feral camels that live in Australia today originated from this era:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghan_(Australia)

Speaking of camels, I finally completed my Sopwith Camel today:

I will show more images of it in the coming days.

I wrote the script (the story) some months ago but I keep modifying it however I want to keep it short enough to be able complete it Smile

I don't have any animated previews made yet, for the time being I am just making models like these planes and will be making some clothes for the movie.

I finished watching the anti war movie you told me about, “Paths to Glory”. It was very good but my movie will be very different. It will be considerably shorter, more satirical and hopefully fun to watch without glorifying war Smile

hello, Thyme, I use Maya software:
and export a file three copies
in which I changed the extensions:

thyme.dae (for mesh)
thyme.daeanim (for animation)
thyme.daeskel (for Skelette)

after import into cloudparty.

cloudparty walk with webgl, I think it is a clone of SecondLife.
Cloud Party is the name of the famous software created by Cory Ondrejka
(co-founder of Second Life) Bruce Rogers and former CTO of Cryptic Studio.

At the moment I do not find server equivalent free and simple to use
and opened via facebook.

For me it is a good thing.

Maya is free for non-employed, the student teachers.
http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=download_center

Blender also export DAE does not pass the animation yet.

Hi Jacinto, Hi all

That crab bucket is very cute. Remember it from the original vrml version.

I normally render WebGL with firefox and realized that the render was not well done, video was missing, so tested it in chrome and also in IE.
Chrome rendered it well of course (its a chrome experiment) and even IE rendered it (not well of course, was the worst rendering), thanks to the flash plugin launched automatically when X3Dom framework is used, like in this case.

Yes, despite the dam problems we eternally see between browser implementations WebGL is showing the way for 3D "grand public" (Microsoft and IE has no match for it and is loosing the path for the time being). Yet this browser specific issues will be a growing problem, for some time at least, probably until the HTML 5 final version arrives.

humm you will say , vitor , that I jump here to bore you more long with the script problem I told you,

but it is important to be able to share 3d with friends without technicals problems.

So I use now ( from vrml) videos on youtube
( but the quality is not good )
and xhtml.

***

But it is a pity to have scripts working in vrml and not in webgl.

As I saw that jacinto used chromeexperiments.com/

I did a tests and sent them a file ( sumit )

No answer for the moment.
They have no forum to ask something etc

Scuse , Thyme we are a bit off the topic , LOL,
but the question ...how to share easily 3d on web , remains , for me ...

ps *** I used too unity3d, the player is easy to be installed , and also for mac

But for my last tryings , with convertions and convertions , LOL ,
the quality was less good than the vrml with BS or Blaxx Sad

Personally, I'd forgotten my proposal for chrome experiment ..

Good looking bat Jicer Mr.Red and a very good FPS too Smile

When people ask me about WebGL I want to give them your url you gave me Jicer but wonder if this url was only for me. What url should I give to people who are interested in WebGL chat?

The upcoming version of seamless will have taken me more time to develop than any previous version (I did not upload any new version in 2012) but it should be by far the easiest version to make complex organic models with.

The new extrude and insert control points features should make using nurbs as easy as using polygon subdivision.

As shown from the seamless forum, this head was made with the new version using only a few buttons from the toolbar in a matter of a few hours:
