Hello ( Omind ) Empty
PostSubject: Hello ( Omind )   Hello ( Omind ) EmptySun 8 Jan - 9:21

I'm new to this forum. I've been to many of the worlds listed here and marvel at the skill and artistry. I hesitate to list my meager attempts but here they are

Explanations and descriptions can be found at....

http://www.spafon.com/NewWorldsPage/worlds.html

The places are...

Different Place in my Mind
http://www.spafon.com/DifferentPlace/contact.htm

Escher gallery
http://www.spafon.com/NewWorldsPage/worlds.html

There are others, mostly experiments.

Thank you for allowing me to participate in this forum

.

Welcome Omind! cheers cheers cheers

You are invited here because your works are NOT meager!

They ALL show that you have style, grace, and good taste!

AND, your Escher Gallery is "A TRIP"!

There, you show us how to use VIEWPOINTS to...
WALK ON ALL SURFACES -- even upside-down! ---
a 3D extension of Escher's idea (enough to make even Escher proud)--
it is marvelous that you cared enough to find a way to do that!

On top of all that, O, you are a model citizen of our little Outer World universe, who often shares his time with chatters.

I can assure you, Omind, that you and your work here are much appreciated!

Congratulations Omind! cheers

Smile X

If I sound pompous, O, it's because next month I will be 60! Laughing

Be welcome Omind Smile

I'm not able to join the different place in your mind with my Blaxxun Contact plugin ... and it's a pitty.

scratch Is the bitmanagers plugin needed or did I somehow mess my system again...

Escher Gallery is superbe - I fully agree with Dr. X - and a very good use of virtual reality (making possible the impossible and so on ...).

Keep on building Smile

Peter pig

ehmm ... P.S.: the link to Escher's Gallery in your post is not the direct one, btw

Hi Peter

Omind's "Place in My Mind" loads just fine here in Canada Laughing

Perhaps the problem is in a place in YOUR mind. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Really, all his links seem okay. Laughing
btw "Place"looks kewl in Contact chat frames. Omind.

Omind,

I think Peter is confused because you used

http://www.spafon.com/NewWorldsPage/worlds.html

twice in your presentation.

So, poor Peter is, n fact, now seeing quadruple (since seeing double is normal for him) Laughing
Maybe you can fix that Laughing

Change it to a direct link to your Escher Gallery and put him out of his misery! Laughing

Peter is often right about stuff-- it just usually takes a long time to figure out what and why.
Laughing

I have no idea why it would load c:/local on peter, especially when the files are on a D: drive Bad). It reads right in my browser at work and at home.

The escher link should be http://www.spafon.com/EscherGallery/contact.htm

Sorry Peter Bad)

Thanks for the imput, BTW

You're welcome, Omind! Laughing

NEXT STEP

1. Look back at your presentation. In the upper right hand corner it says "editer" .

2. Use it to correct your duplicated link.

Voila!

It took me ages before I noticed that button myself! As Peter knows, I find it verrrry handy, sometimes reprocessing my remarks "on-line"! I make a lot of typos too! Also, the text in-forum is easier on the eyes . Laughing

Mr. O, please have your revised copy on my desk by 10 PM Wed! Laughing Laughing Laughing

ciaO!

Well, sorry Omind : this place should be for comenting your (for sure superbe) work and I mi(e)ssed the topic till now.

I go on trying.

Cheers

Hello ( Omind ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hello ( Omind )   Hello ( Omind ) EmptyWed 11 Jan - 20:29

I play writing a text each thursday , since more than one year ...

I began on a forum were I had been bannished , lol , so now I use that for my school ....

It is more or less "around" vrml concepts , for instance : how to navigate in 3D ...
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alaindumenieu/artvrml/120505.htm
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alaindumenieu/artvrml/050106.htm

Of course your Esher gallery is in all memories , Omind ...

and you are right to say " Fun to fly around" about your " Different places " ...

I was very interested when guys on worldbuildersguild@yahoogroups.com were talking about all these sort of things , in august 2005 :
( you are "Bruce" there , am I right ????? scuse if I mistake .......)

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldbuildersguild/message/12605

Mr P had that for instance :

Multi-user (more fun perhaps)
http://philliphansel.com/suburbs/walkingworld/
Single user
http://philliphansel.com/suburbs/walkingworld/earth_vp.wrl

..........

Well , I wonder what is DeleD .....never heard about that ......

Hum , I hope that you think that I am not a "professor" here , I am just Alain , indeed ,

but can I say that I don't know really if you dont want / or don't heard about
crease angle .....
For instance in the Barren Riven a crease angle 3 makes the land less sharpen ...
But may be it is not your idea to have it more smooth , I dont know ..
Just to talk BtW , Smile I mean ....to share a bit ..... Smile

Thanks to be here , Omind , we are honnoured Smile
