| indeed it took me all my time , peter , except these small pieces of vrml , and sometimes I hate that to be 10 hours each day on that forum , but I wonder if it is not my masterpiece for the year , lol , ( after the nude thing of course hhiihihihih , chuuuuuuuut ) , you know why ? because I realised yesterday that , if we "work" well here , as you say , i will be a forum + a blog + a site ........! I mean : my personnal blog , lol , all saw that I like to bore everyone with my poor life , lol second : a forum , of course ... but third : a site too ! but not a personnal one but a collective one .. If everybody use it to host here , photos , links , anims gifs , texts etc , it could be a sort of "web site " for all the members .. The members still alive , I mean , lol , coz of course we have some dead , more than 50 % , but it is normal on that sort of stupid forum lol ) |

La lumière pour certains, l'ombre pour d'autres. Le musée de l'Orangerie, dans le jardin des Tuileries, rouvre aujourd'hui après quatre années d'un chantier pénible. L'entrée est gratuite jusqu'à dimanche. Les Parisiens pourront ainsi découvrir le nouvel accrochage d'un ensemble de peintures unique au monde, à commencer par la série des Nymphéas réalisée spécifiquement par Monet. Vingt-deux panneaux, de près de cent mètres de long et deux de haut, furent donnés par le peintre après l'armistice de 1918, destinés à deux salles en ellipse. Depuis le début du siècle, Monet travaillait à Giverny ce thème des «paysages d'eau» (titre donné à une exposition, galerie Durand-Ruel). Pour l'Orangerie, il s'était attaqué à une quarantaine de grands panneaux, dont certains se retrouvent aujourd'hui dans les grands musées américains. L'accrochage fut inauguré en 1927, six mois après sa mort.
Malheureusement, dans les années soixante, ces salles furent bouchées par une dalle en béton, modifiant la méditation hypnotique d'une oeuvre que Monet qualifiait d'«illusion d'un tout sans fin, d'une onde sans horizon et sans rivage». Ce réaménagement avait été entraîné par l'arrivée de la collection Walter-Guillaume, acquise par l'Etat dans des conditions rocambolesques : des Renoir, Cézanne, Picasso, Matisse... En tout 144 tableaux réunis par le marchand Paul Guillaume, puis enrichis par sa veuve Domenica, mariée à l'industriel Jean Walter.
C'est cet ensemble que le directeur du musée, Pierre Georgel, voulut réaménager, tout en créant de nouveaux espaces, d'exposition notamment. Le chantier a accumulé les retards et coûté 29 millions d'euros. La découverte d'un bout de la muraille du XVIe siècle destinée à protéger le château des Tuileries voulu par Catherine de Médicis, puis servant d'enceinte à la ville de Paris, a suscité une certaine émotion. Non seulement les fouilles ont, logiquement, retardé les travaux, mais il a été réclamé de «sauver le mur». Archéologues et conservateurs se sont opposé. La cote mal taillée a consisté à exposer sous vitre un bout de parement qui a coûté fort cher et bousculé l'aménagement du musée. Le résultat n'a aucun intérêt. De verre et de béton gris, le bâtiment redonne du sens aux Nymphéas sous une lumière retrouvée. Mais le sous-sol entasse les tableaux, sur un fond désespérant, dans un environnement aveugle. Le coût des installations a été revu à la baisse. L'inauguration, ratée, s'est faite dans la poussière.
