My worlds are the result of 2 and a half years of VRML study and frequent upgrades while I learned (from Master Builders like like Alain and thyme and many others).

The textures and contours are, in principal, mine.

But, all my other objects are borrowed from lend-depositories.

So, I like to make good "artistic* choices.

But, no money.

Art?

That's the way I like it. Laughing

But, I am retired, so I can afford to think that way. Smile

Ok X, afford, that's the word I didn't know Smile Now I understand all the thing you wrote. All right.

2 and a half years you have learned vrml, so I think we started nearly at the same moment.

Make good artistic choice, that's some thing I never try to do.

Alain often work like that too.

So X, have some worlds plans ???

I am researching for and dreaming a lot about a large project (my "life's work") these days. It is a secret.

I hope to to share some parts of it some way in blaxxun chat by the Christmas Holidays.

I am just listing worlds in chat one or two times per week now (during summer), because it is the slow season, and I don't want to think about chat.

Sorry about "afford". When I write English here, I try to make it easy for French people to read (because I was also a teacher of ESL (English as a Second Language).

I am still a teacher in spirit. So, like Alain, I am happy to answer almost all questions. Smile

Bye now

I forgot to say. . .

Do not be discouraged because my worlds look good.

I just find beautiful things and put them together in a nice way, to make a nice impression.

So, it is "impressionism" (which is one good reason Alain and I are "kindred spirits" in VRML 3D, meaning something like "brothers in Art").

That is fun for me.

And I don't work hard at building models or planning complex buildings etc. like our friends, the real modellers and World Builders.

Like Alain, I just love the magic.

very interesting to read that , Colin , very , as you know I agree 100 %

There are many ways to build worlds , reason why it was ( or it is , still ... ) interestind to have a server such blaxxun , you cant' have such diversity in a "community" ...
Look at Cybertown and you will see .. ..

X and me we have a sort of similar thinking about making worlds , for a part ( indeed I am very more ....sexual lol ahahahahahhaha !!! )

and the result is
very different , but other builders are very different etc .....
