when I began on blaxx chat , in 2002 , as I am ..humm a painter (?) ..was a painter , I wanted to have the image/3d part chat the biggest ....

But everyone told ma that the chat part was not enough large to type , LOL

So I had been used to have not 3d full screen .....

afters 4 years , 5 years , it is nice to see that :

if you use your fullscreen window , you get a nice fullscreen 3D part ....

With my chat you can also use Ctrl+Enter to make the 3d window proper full screen, that is no browser buttons at all. Hit Ctrl+Enter to change it back. Its just like a game, actually real games are setup the same way.

Sadly this doesn't work with peter's chat, the window flickers instead.

Hi all !

I've been thinking if I should let the worlds, that once have been opened, inside the world-list or somwhere else, so people could reopen them or discover new worlds (the n3de world was not intenionally built for showcasing, it was just a fast world for testing the chat system ).

It would be easy to filter out what worlds are good enough for showcasing : just erase worlds where people dont stay and showcase worlds with more activity.

The question is : how far would that be legal ?

Its your chat server its up to you what you have listed on it.

I'm not sure how a world ranking system would go. After a day or so everything would get deleted once enough people have seen it, but that means anyone on holiday for the week misses out.

Yup I set a quick update off to web3d-fr to let them know I updated the page for VP3D chat. Idiot me forgot to mention it works for both Contact and Cortona, and that is supports multiple languages

In other news Cybertown is down, for further upgrading I think.

Oh and X has been experimenting with my chat, nothing online yet but I did read his logs

Still chasing bugs btw, though I know whats causing the latest one.

before JeanMichel Flamant opened that "news" stuff on web 3D , I opened a topic about all that , fab ,

well ...Louise is a small college ,
450 pupills ..
we have a room for 16 puters ,
I use it sometimes
( with all a class , 26 pupils , hum...)
and I went to day in that room during it was not work time ...

Always some pupils are there .....
Sometimes they draw , simetimes they write ,solmetimes they watch LouiseForum ... etc ,
many use Internet spacr builder lol , because they saw that I use it ( with a math teacher )

and ....... today ...........I saw 6 pupils on the Peter 3DChat !!!!!! LOL

talking together .....

They found that on LOuise and they were truing that and they were very happy LOL

By no chance I had no cam to shoot them ! I will try to do ..
I was very happy too and it was funny , so I went to my own class room ,
100 m distant , I opened the chat and said "hello" )) ...
I was alain as always , LOL

so my question is just to build a right frame to put in inframe .....

I'll have to make a mini version of my chat/world list. Just place name + number of chatters, and using a small font.

As for how to attach it and peters at the top of the page, I have an idea on that. The main thing is to work around peter's javascript based refresh, which messes up navigation in louiseforum and 3d chat alike.

I had to change it back to the old version. Lol.

I was still asleep when I did just copy and paste the <meta>, comment out the setInterval .... and after the morning shower I already knew that I had done nonsense.

It needs a bit more of work, because my php is not returning the whole page, just a string with the worlds and users, to be processed by the client.

All over the chat, the php just returns a string (inside a javascript function call), never whole pages. I wanted to put all the work at the client side and also reduce traffic.

The chat-list, refreshing every 10 sec and being showed at 3 web pages, made 71% of last weekends traffic

Every bit counts.

But I have changed the interval from 10 sec to 20 sec ... may be it messes half as much
