| . Thanks Peter and Alain for all the info here. Yes, yesterday I started looking for a chat client to host at my website and hey! -- the blaxxun Developer version sounds sufficient for my purposes. Like a guest book (maybe visitors can leave comments). And, free! I definitely will look into that lol. 3 visitors at a time? -- heck, I hate crowds anyway! 3 visitors at a time!?! --maybe, if I don't get the banishing script, I might be trapped with just Mo and Paul! re what fabricator said I just now read all that info while listening to my first playing of great electronic music HOLGER CZUKAY VS. DR. WALKER "CLASH" from our Blessed Montreal National Library!--I had good luck finding this music-- maybe, it means good luck in these new directions we are investigating! EEk! I see new icons in our editor. Here are some belated Happy Birthday Starfish and a Pirate for Hermetic (PS Herm, I enjoyed your dialogue with fab in the other forum). X PS If it works, the 3 vis blaxxun client might still be reason for us poor folks to be grateful to bitmanagement !!! | |

| I've been trying to understand blaxxun's (not bitmanager's) info... As far as I can understand, you need a static server IP for running any of those licenses (it is licensed for one adress). Am I right ? Other thing : Blaxxun's free-demo-public-server bw was/will be again a gift they do - with who knows what final purposes... As such, they can give us the kick how often and how long they want to... But somehow they should have been much more polite this time and try to inform before and during shutdown to the community. I guess the GPL solution mentioned in Cyworx would be the best one. Good luck to all ! | |

My worlds at cyberhenge.ca: SINGLE 4 KEYWORD COMBO: "free 3D chat rooms" 1st POSITION ...but, more importantly: SINGLE 3 KEYWORD COMBO: "free 3D chat" 5th POSITION (page one) And, my improvements have not been spidered yet. But, I wonder if ALTAVISTA is just cycling. Am of course watching. X .

Good luck !! okay, done ... 1 link working, and --- not 54 but 60 hidden, that should launch you up to stratospheric ratings in all search engines ... no?! ... oki, at least I tryed

| Hold it, Peter! (if you aren't just "baiting" the "Master") I am a self-made and independant man, not wanting some radical East Indian fakar to swoop down upon me and magically "save the day" All that I do, I do on my own-- that's my fun in doing it! Make one link if you like, but just one (you big BSer you! )-- As you may have seen, I have studied the acceptible techniques of meta-tag usage, and I have applied them to the max in these pages for over two years to get this far. And, I know the advantage of early link placement. Invisible links (using coloured text to mask keywords etc.) are under-handed and frowned upon, and so, suggesting that I authorize or appreciate the usage of a theoretical 60, would tend to tarnish my otherwise "spotless reputation" Especially here in an open forum! Tsk! tsk! So, settle down! Thanks for the effort, though. But I would rather gauge cyberhenge.ca's progress without such a theoretical influence-- such "invisible links" would be far away in your webspace, not mine, so I'm not sure they could meta-influence positioning when I get spidered by Altavista. Anyways, you must be joking! At this rate, I will O.D. on your sense of humour long before my 60th. X P.S. You have reminded me to review my top links to my own various pages for meta potential one more time before 2006 -- thanx. Yes, that is how it is done. Consider your "Master" baited-- at least I am certain that far about link-potential lol: But , shhhh! -- let that be our secret! You ARE a sly one! .

| Humm X I didn't take that in consideration ... well I'll remove the hidden ones and keep only one - if you agree I hope tonight there have been less hits on the page than usuall, so your reputation might remain certainly untouched ... or may be today your cyberhenge.ca appears on all blackboards/red lists of search engines ... (not bad pub anyhow). I hope not. What remains is a nice lesson on "Webmaster Ethics" and "Upptagging the charts". Thanks X | |

| . Hi All Long time since I wrote here. Presently, I am gradually developing ATLANTIS and X-FILES into "games" (online, as often as possible). (in blaxxun list) using "HUDs" and, perhaps, tomorrow, "layers". I hope eventually to simulate control consoles / dashboards (without looking at Vcard's Grand Prix source) for vehicles that visitors can drive through these and other worlds. jicer told me he was using layers nodes in VRML, so I thought, if he can do it, maybe I can too. So I tried them, and they are so easy (easier than HUDs even)-- argh, how did I not see that before! Keep on Building! X P.S. My 5 Coconuts are looking forward to another party on Coconut Island. . | |

| DRAG&DROP MAGIC (GLISSER-DÉPOSER) RE HOLGER MAY NOT RUN IN WINDOWS XP RE ISSUES WITH JAVA VERSIONS POSSIBLEMENT, IL NE MARCHE PAS AVEC WINDOWS XP AU CAS DE JAVABy this time, I have had so much fun learning to use some advanced VRML nodes called "protos", that I have decided to develop a series that explores my own "X-plorations". For #1, DRAG&DROP http://www.cyberhenge.ca/x-plorations/dragdrop/islands/contact.htma somewhat unique multi-world, I played with the blaxxun frameset to display the documentation, which follows: Pour # 1, GLISSER-DÉPOSER http://www.cyberhenge.ca/x-plorations/dragdrop/islands/contact.htmun multi-monde quelque peu unique, j'ai joué avec le frameset de blaxxun pour montrer la documentation, qui suit : DRAG&DROP MAGIC (GLISSER-DÉPOSER) RE HOLGER http://www.cyberhenge.ca/x-plorations/dragdrop/islands/contact.htm #1 DRAG&DROP MAGIC is the first of a series of docs by Colin James McKinlay ("X") weitten for builders who experiment with VRML and blaxxun for the sheer love of it (and, I already know a few). Its focus is a VRML proto example* by Holger Grahn as presented at Peter Graf / Tamiko's Mission Base website. Son sujet est un exemple de proto de VRML * par Holger Grahn à l'origine présenté au site web de Mission Base de Peter Graf et Tamiko.I myself (for those who "do not know" me) do not make chat-venues -- some directory-makers and chatroom developers may regard with reservation my usages of these protos and nodes. Artists and game-developers however might find them interesting. -- #1 is spectacular in that dragging and dropping textures allows you to change my world's look and feel without changing its relative viewer juxtipositioning (ie. the viewer does not start over at the entry point with each change). But, it is just a trick. The illusion is that you are repainting the entire scene; but, actually you are dragging & dropping one whole world upon another, one new texture (jpg) with all the same source over and over again. Therefore, as visually magical as this way of using Grahn's proto can be, there is a price to pay in lag proportionate to each consecutive world added. -- Perhaps methods exist to rectify this. Perhaps my wrls are not optimized sufficiently. Perhaps Mr. Grahn's proto was never meant to be tasked such a scale. Building worlds with VRML is always a balancing act-- that makes it fun. YOU CAN DRAG ANY WRL FROM ANY DIRECTORY INTO THIS WORLD VOUS POUVEZ GLISSER - DEPOSER N'IMPORTE QUEL WRL À PARTIR DE N'IMPORTE QUEL ANNUAIRE À CE MONDE -- Your wrl will appear at ground zero (translation 0 0 0), which is at VIEWPOINT "Atpos Temple" (Athena-Poseidon). -- So, this D&D proto is very, very cool (and just one of many thanx to blaxxun)-- I am happy to be showcasing it here. -- P.S. My favourite walk is from "Spider Cove" into the "Dragon Cave". There, click on the Dragon Hearth (the fire-box) for Temple transport. Do that 10 times with 10 textures, and you will know how much fun I had enhancing this world with Mr. Grahn's proto example*. -- P.S. March 20, 2006 -- Showcase in development.
