Lol, Tutancamon, this thread is really hard to load, because of the massive frames you're posting.

Well, about 3D chat using such "polling" techniques, it's pretty easy to do, just doing some serverscripting with or Perl.

Instead of just getting chat-text in response, you can encode avatar positions or gestures or whatever else into the server response.

Basically, instead of just sending to the server a querystring user_id&&text, you send a querystring with user_id&&text&&coordinates.

The server sends back a string with all new text and coordinates.

Depending on how your chat-client is layed-out, you must send the chat-text to a html object and the coordinates to the vrml object or both to the vrml object.

You're a smart guy, so you will know how to do it.

How I make a colaborative world, just using ASP, for example

And, after this, I wont to move objects in the world's space, and You must see this thing ! Now I speack about shared objects and events ... Ofcuorse, You also, can move the objects and me, I see that transform .

Well Tutancamon, I don't speak ASp, I just speek and JavaScript, but anyways, I can't tell you all the code here... lol.

You're a smart guy, and will work it out, for sure.

Whenever someone joins the chat, he must send a form with his user name and avatar.

At next polling, all the rest of the people get from the server the instruction to load that new avatar, eg : new%%user_id%%user_avt

For positioning the avatars, each user is sending it's actual position with each poll, something like user_id%%user_coords%%user_text

Shared objects don't need anything else than avatars... it's the same thing.

You can encode as much instructions to your string as you want, so you can trigger gestures, events, private messages, whatever.

I guess I should release a distributable N3DME, Louize Special Edition. It's good enough to play arround with it.

But first of all I must get back home.... lol.

People need to have real time comments about their worlds. For chatting is ather more performant applications ... You know this, exist WebCamera with chat ... And ofcuorse, You know, exist 'Messenger' ... And so on ...

For me, personal, Blaxxun Contact, or BS Contact , is interesting from 3D Geometry and JavaScript sample application f.o.v. I am not artist creator, and I don't wont to be the worlds creator ...

'RICK's ...' is a kinde of realese of Rick's forum.
All non interesting informations will put away and only right interesting informations will put in our forum.

This forum will be a kinde of administrators community. All administrators has an blog inner this forum.

The blogs are necesery for sleeping. Yes, for who wont to sleep in the forum, thei can go to his blog and sleep there.
