no ?? Yes, tomorow. I need to install an Web server. I'll install Apache. And than I'll put online my computer. Tomorow, You will chat with me from my computer. Like last date, when I used Platform 7.  You know, I refresh my system from time to time ... is more good for secure ... ( I use a clone for this. Need 30 minutes to format the HDD and then to put the clone on HDD ) Tomorow, my web server will be online ( onair  ) and will be accesible at my address : http://tutancamon.myftp.org You must have instaled 'BSContact 7.1' ... unfortunately ....

| Hello tout le monde, du fait que les modifications du host pour avoir accès au serveur bxx ne sont peut être pas anodines en terme de sécurité, et que je n'ai pas le courage de me taper 17 pages de vidéos youtube, je préfère faire un résumé de mes observations et découvertes (terme un peu exagéré, c'est vrai) concernant abnet2. - dans un premier temps, le plus simple à faire est de se rendre à cette url : http://vrmlworld.net/ pour avoir la liste des mondes "enregistrés" sur le serveur. - l'avantage de cette liste est de savoir en temps réel combien de personnes sont connectées sur les mondes qui y sont inscrits. - il est de plus facile d'accéder à une fenêtre de configuration : http://vrmlworld.net/abnet2/ qu'il n'est pas besoin d'expliquer, il suffit de lire. - on peut même créer un lien directement vers cette même fenêtre avec les renseignements qui nous intéressent : copiez ce lien dans le pad pour le détailler ça semble un peu long, mais c'est facile : une url pour le serveur, une autre pour le monde (ici, le mien) et la dernière pour l'avatar - il est également possible de créer un lien pour accéder directement au monde de son choix : copiez celui-ci aussi dans le pad pour le détailler c'est long aussi, hein ? Mais si vous regardez bien, la seule différence avec le lien vers la fenêtre de configuration est 3dchat.html inséré au lien du serveur. Il me semble qu'à partir de là, rien ne nous empêche d'utiliser le serveur abnet2 pour nos mondes. Les options sont moins développées que sur le serveur bxx (les onglets, les mondes ouverts...) et je trouve qu'un monde complexe rame un peu plus, mais au moins, il n'y a aucune modification à apporter à la configuration de nos systèmes pour y accéder. Soyez forts  ps : remarque de dernière minute. Il semble qu'abnet2 aie parfois des ratés, comme à l'instant où j'écris ; si vous rencontrez un pile de messages [connecting to ABNET chat server], recevez mes plus vives condoléances et fermez votre navigateur, vous n'en tirerez plus rien pour l'instant  | |

| je cherchai une raison pour pas allez sur blaxxun maintenant qu il n est plus 'tout public' merci korben. pour abnet je me suis deja exprimer donc pardon je me repeterai pas surtout que je n y allais pas avec le dos de la cuillere... donc il reste plus qu a attendre que quelque chose de nouveau vienne... |  3 users in Alberto World, yes, and I'm unable to get there... must be a huge file. Nothing to blame ABnet for, but may be ABnet should reconsider it's "BS ONLY" politics. I have downloaded and installed BS Comtact 7.whatever today and had a look at Tutancamon's BS collaborate server attempt, had a look at ABNet... and had a look at my own stuff and some other GOOD OLD VRML stuff ... I will uninstall BS tomorrow. Why? - My poor system = 2.8 Ghz Celeron (Laptop) with it's poor ATI Radeon adapter (shared memory) is unable to handle 2 instances of BS Contact at once without hanging up ... - some of my beloved VRML worlds, which did display pretty well on Cortona or Blaxxun Contact ... don't display perfectly on BS. - the floating logo ... well, I know ... on ABnet and other "selected" servers there is no logo, but on the rest of vrml files out there on the web, there actually is a logo, probably covering the most important part of an artist's artwork, an artwork which is NOT A TRIAL VERSION, and, btw, BS did probably not pay a nickel for it. They did announce some sort of 1US$ licenses for clients not displaying the logo ... why the heck don't they drop it (the logo) right now, and start working on it's (the plugin's) backwards compatibility towards the good old Blaxxun Contact? - I would pretty much allow BS Contact to stay on my system, beside Octaga, Cortona, Flux and Blaxxun Contact ... but ... hah!!! ... I don't want to struggle with registry entries or 3rd party patches for swapping CC3D viewers. And... I mean ... if something's new, if something wastes a lot of ressources ... it should throw perfect results. Sorry, but it sucks.
