( nothing to do with internet for the moment )

But I can't, myself, even connect my own puter , LOL !

I never used BScollaborate on the web.

But tutancamon did , and we had a meeting on day .

That was working.

I asked him 2 days ago to help us but he doenst want.

Anyways I will s$research in my old files what the Hell witht the chat .

I think we are on a right step .

Yes yes I got all that in code Zeta too - it connects to the collab server just fine but does not display the chat stuffs- will continue on in these endeavors- did have a crash yesterday and temp. lost Zeta- but got it back and all is the same now- connects to server just fine- am accessing it via web - but no chat

I have 4 or 5 puters at home ,
so I tried the stuff on my wife's puter ,
and I am connected !!!!!!!

( btw I have also the "eps" error )

BUt I havent the chat !!!

BUT it will be more easy now , for me to , continue to search the prob.

( I know know that my prob to connect is not a prob router ,
but my own puter problem , I guess windows firewall (???)


Tonight I will re check SRR , I guess that will work on my wife's puter

Is from chat.wrl file. In that file you have calling an external prototype: PositionDamper
The PositionDamper prototype is in Dampers.wrl file

This mean that you did not use the old package.
The Christoph's package or the latest version of package does not works well with old chat's files.

But that not solves the chat displaying problem.

Been really thinking (mayhaps overthinking) this problem.... but do I need to open another port in router for chat besides the one for the Collab server? have opened 12345 for server is that the only one I need to open?? All the files I am using are from the BS website, even tried to install BS_Contact 7.1 but it wont install fully on this puter- then tried to use 7.2 and still no chat - but am connected to server. Thank you; Tutanc; too for all your help

There he need a new kind of code ...
If you have not anything to do, then go and try to make new prototypes ...
For free, nobody will did not make this for you ...
He he he ... put on Peter le Cochon to work free for you ...

Talking about tips ... well, maybe you will make a few examples for mapping by hand with images for complex shapes ...

I had several test sessions
working with BScollaborate !!!
even with tutanc ,
even with Srr trains !!!

And i had nothing to change in the scripts


The hell is that it is not working well nowdays .



there are 2 solutions :
1 _ bitmanagemt changed someting , and we dont know what
( except tutanc , maybe , but he doenst want to tell us what because he wants to make me crazzy

2 - there is a solution somewhere and may be tutanc knows witch one,
but he doenst want to tell us because etc

3 - I am crazzy

Thanks for inviting me via e-mail to this topic. I see there is some problem with chat. First question: Do you like to use the services of the BSCollaborate node for chat (using port 12345)? I can tell you, how I did it in SrrTrains.

I have a "main file" main_bscontact.x3d in directory FrameMain, where I have all the MU stuff, which is Bitmanagement specific. Sorry, I prefer X3D over VRML, because I create parts of my scene automatically and I like to use standard XML parsers.

In this "main file", I have the BSCollaborate node

            <NetConnection USE='Conn' containerField = 'connection'/>
        </BSCollaborate>

then I have a script, which relays the user input and output to/from the BSCollaborate node (beside other things)
