Although I tried to install Lutece on my PC and it shows a box full of --------- and nothing happens...

There are instructions are for Vista... How do I install it in XP? May be this is a problem of the OS language?

There are instructions for Vista because it is "special" for Vista ,

but for XP and even Linux it worx ..

may be the prob is the french ??

Lol this problem could easily be fixed : Lutèce3D V3 is designed to be multilingual interface, but I'm nos as good as I wish in any foreign language; I guess your computer is in Spanish ? As I'm not able to translate my French sentences into this language, I've put (until I can find somebody to translate them) some "------- ------- ------- ------- ------" to remember this is to be translated, lol. So the tip is to use French or English (bad one, but complete lol).
How to do this ? In the right of the chat zone, there are tabs. The last one is "Options" in THAT tab, the fourth line is "Language". So click on this fourth line, choose Français or English, click the RIGHT button and restart the program : it will be more easy to understand

I choose French, and it shows text. When installed, it says "Erreur 429 Le composant Activex ne peut creer l'objet"

What must I do?

Mmmm do you use the last program version ? If not you'll be prompted at start to install it. May be you can uninstall completely (Configuration Panel or Start Menu / Lutece / Désinstallation) then reinstall it.
At first start you have to check the Server address and port : lutece.no-ip.org 2000 then your nickname, icon and avatar. After that it checks blaxxun installation, then displays a splash ; normally after that the chat window opens and you are connected to the server, the registration form opens.

After that, appears the Lutece splash screen and then says Error 429.

OK Jordi, this box is for filling User parameters. From top to bottom : first field is for your nickname (mandatory) ; the second one receives your password (mandatory but not used for the moment) ; in third one just choose an icon (mandatory) ; fourth one is to fill your interests (optional) ; fifth and sixth for your first name (optional) and name (optional) ; seventh for your internet site (optional) ; eighth and last one for your avatar url (optional but recommended).

The big problem is the Error 429 which I don't know for now what it means (looking for an explanation). Did you uninstall / reinstall ?

Ah may be : are you under Vista ? If yes, you MUST disable the UAC BEFORE the first launch (the program has to rename a file in blaxxun folder : to avoid a blaxxun error if no avatar defined). vi c'etait trés sympa .. en tout 14 personnes se sont connectées ..

perso ca fait du bien de se retrouver en 3d pour rire un peu et avoir un moment de détente ca faisait un bout ......

j'ai bien essayé de t'attendre mais debout a 5h30 le samedi donc suis restée raisonnable ... et Alain pareil plus l'habitude de bosser il etait mort lol ....

Hello you all,

I hope all went well. At Friday evening, my ISP (Orange) had a problem and I was offline until Saturday night. I was unable to make Lutece soft work, don't know the reason. I use XP.



I will try to go to the next reunion. My ISP has been all this summer failing, always on Friday and sometimes in the middle of the week too.

Fault is yours, as Orange is French, LOL

LOL many faults too with thunders here ,
I had been off 6 days plus some hours days later ,
and Meribastet had the PC broken yesterday ..

Thyme asked MixED to have the next meeting later , because he hopes he will have a satellit connection ( because of his left wing government , he said , LOL )
but it was not easy to change the dates
( he had been off , too , during 2 weeks in august , coz of storms too )

so we will try to connect his modem ,
btw way it will be very "sport" LOL ,but I adore Thyme and seamless3D ,
and I hope that we will succeed in all tests before the meeting ..

Stupid question , Jordi : did you tried the chat on seamless ?

LOL, I'll try to use Seamless3D Chat these days, before the meeting, so I can solve the tech problems!

I'm sorry for having joined the meeting too late.

I did miss some good friends ... but met Jo and Fersen and Peugeotfast and wayne99 (thank's for your offering to translate french jokes, ).

Congratulations to Joseph Dudule, for his crashproof system : an upcomming inheritor of the blaxxun free zone, with a lot of added features.
