| Your new fireflies (lucioles) compliment your world very nicely Isa I see other new shapes added to your world since I last saw it that look very good too, even if made with flux Do you use a Bezier Lathe too or just the radial tug when you use seamless? Excellent new logo Alain | |

| Hey, hey ! Isa & Seamless .... Seamless & Isa. It looks very much like you have both been waiting one for each other. Good work ! N'arretez pas ! (... c'est french ?). Thyme : Looking at Isa's and Alain's Seamless samples above, I've got the feeling that Seamless's outputs are being handled pretty comfortably by my graphics board. The spastic, fast but smooth animation of Alain's pink Shakira world is a good example of what I mean... and also the multiple firefly animation added to Isa's world. Is it just a feeling or may there be some explanation for it ? Congrats to the trio ! Peter | |

to make the curves I use the red point and "length "to place it and so I have more points... then I stretch and I am used of the tool of Bezier lathe buildt... I made photograph to show better : first thing which was bad when i built my first worlds is .... not to know how to make the curves on flux I buildt them point by point which are followed much longer but I did not discover flux entirely still .. so bézier is more easy for me for the curves .. | |

| I haven't got any 3D editor installed on my putter since last winter... not even CAD. I'm devoted to "invisible" 3d for the moment ... things never to be displayed on a screen, nodes rendering nothing... (sounds sad, but it's fun). Next thing will be : building visible stuff again, and it will be on Seamless, for sure, and soon You will help me. ( ) | |

| Thanks much Isa for the image, It is a pleasure for me to see you are using the BezierLatheBuild node Remember when you said it looked complicated (the mathematics) and made you want to run away? I am glad to hear it assists you to make curves, this is what a Bezier curve is all about, no matter what you do its pretty hard not to make a good looking curve with one Hi Peter, here you are oink oink Sure I will be only too pleased to help you with any seamless questions I think perhaps the animation here was done using flux studio, spazz or vrmlpad (Alain will know) However some of Alain's students have used seamless to do a number of exciting animation sequences and I am currently working on making the animation window much friendlier: The buttons are much influenced by the simplicity of avatar studio so that no one should have any trouble being able to use it when its ready in a few days time Seamless will also allow one to make longer animated sequences than avatar studio and will let the user get at the Interpolators and add scripts manually if they want too. best wishes | |

| hello Thyme et Alain and peter and all ... good I tested your bar of anim... I wanted to make an owl but it's seems more to the parents of my babies fireflies or in french "lucioles"... I think that I should make two wings separate in order to make beautiful beats in any case... I I had fun has to make move the face the hat and the" pompom" in the good direction not easy I should certainly gather these three things in order to have same the paramétres for each one... i have understand the principle..la bar is simple of use and all is visual for correcting well and to have what we wish. tomorrow I tackle textures and with the sound... and make two wings ... http://smurfette.neuf.fr/seamless/hiboux.wrl good day all , bye | |

| I tried to answer isa about having a texture ... I guess that we need another node with a textureEffect ( I added it after your eyeballs , Thyme ) But I dont understand how to have the texturescoordinate , so I deleted them in vrmlpad ... Sure that it is not th right way http://dumenieu.free.fr/louizeforum/seamless/hibou.wrl | |

| Hi Isa and Alain. I like much your new birds Isa it does not matter if they don't look like owls they great They could be parents of the baby fireflies if you want but they do look like birds to me This is a good early attempt in animation too Isa the eyes look good. With time an understanding of concepts should come, Have you played with moving the pivot points? (the little yellow dots) You are right Alain this texture data made by seamless is meaningless because the texture has not been mapped. The specialised geometry nodes from the toolbar can not yet do textures yet, I have a demo however showing how to texture map a BezierLathe built it is the Bezier type designed to sit on a Stem node. see: help -> textured object demo This is not so beginner friendly but its not difficult to copy what the robot does. Also beginners might not understand how colour per vertex (ColorEffect) can do many things textures can do and in some cases can even do a better job. When I originally made my blue bikini girl I tried textures first and found it hard to get a clean edge (you don't get the problems of pixilation) for the actual bikini and so discovered colour per vertex is not only easier to use but better for this specific task. | |

| Hi Isa, Alain and All I don't know if you remember not so many months ago (or was it a year ago? lol ) I was talking about making it so you can make objects animate by clicking on them like you can in flux studio and spazz. Well I have finally got round to getting this ready to demonstrate for 2.122 which is ready for download: www.seamless3d.com/download Not only can you make wrls do this for blaxxun contact you can click on objects and make them animate in seamless's 3d window I also feel i have opened the door to scripting for anyone no matter how little programing experience so this I am really excited about I have written a demo and a tutorial showing how to click on objects so these new features are documented for ever because the robot will not let me upload a new version if I have broken anything that prevents the robot being able to complete a demo See how robots are starting to control our lives already? its a good thing no one has yet fitted a whip attachment to a computer but I am sure some day they will be compulsory in the work place everywhere To see how the Anim node can be controlled using a TouchSensor and a single line of script, see the new tutorial: Switching Animation On & Off in 3D This is perhaps the first practical tutorial aimed at the novice to show off Seamless's script friendly design. I also have 2 short follow up tutorials that show how an "if" statement can be used with ease: Play for a Specified Number of Times Stopping the Anim Node After the Specified TimePlease let me know if you have any questions, I will be only to happy to help | |
