| Very amusing Alain ) I liked much your snow scene with the "plant houses" (not to be confused with "house plants") but Alain you left out the leaves for the plant houses! It was fun to drag your pumpkin Many think the plant houses from techuelife island were inspired by pumpkins, others think turnips but they are just trees genetically engineered to grow houses for people. If civilisation came to an end and the genetic engineering science with it, unlike previous civilizations that leave ruins, these buildings would continue to grow. This would mean the people in the following dark age would still be provided for by the previous civilisation's science I need to write a movie sometime to explain it all | |

| If you want to know my wife , Thyme , look here
http://dumenieu.free.fr/vrml/carton/courges0706.jpg
she is entirely here ! gardening gardening gardening LOL
...Well ....I retried these days this small software marco made ( "marco" is "binoclard" is "nounours" is "pf" here on Louise !!!!! LOL .... )
Indeed it is nice to cut an image but not always easy to put the same pic on the shape ...
I made that experiment :
a box with gifs , and 1 shape from marco's IFS .... ( the left one is just the pic )
http://dumenieu.free.fr/vrml/carton/boitecarton.wrl
On the right shape I had to do that by hand
TextureTransform { rotation 3.142 translation 0 .58 scale 1 1.9 }
.........so..it is not very easy ....

| Hi Alain and Alain's Wife This happy image of pumpkins growing amongst the grass is an image typical of what you see here on the farm (in Australia) in the summer time, when they escape the confines of the garden. A magnificent plant Pumkins and tomatoes are some of the few vegetables I can see that can be grown like wild plants the way fukuoka grows his vegatables (he grows his vegetables like wild plants, scattering seeds amongs the weeds) because they often grow wild here. I am not as fond of the taste of pumpkins as some but they make a great base for making thick creamy tomato soup, I love pumpkins like this but you can't really taste them because the flavour of the tomatoes dominates The recipe for this soup I developed back in the days when I was just a teen ager (when I was a crazy self sufficient gardener) is pretty simple. Thyme's Pumpkin Tomato Soup: Fry some chopped onions in a saucepan lightly. Add a little water and some pumpkin and chopped tomatoes. Simmer till the pumpkin is soft. Put all in a blender and blend till creamy That's it! taste great like this but you can add other ingredients like bacon too if you want. Pumpkins grow much better here than potatoes in our hot humid summers so this recipe is very practical if you want to live off the land. Ok Sorry, back to binoclard's software. I spoke to binoclard in msn recently telling him his software was being discussed on the Louise forum. He said he knew and that his name was pf lol Most of the French words I know are just different names for binoclard Seamless can't import most things made from binoclard's software unfortunately, until I have thought of a way to convert non convex polygons (polygons with edges that go in and out) to triangles. Hey Alain your into selling shirts, Did you know you can buy T shirts with an explanation of what a convex polygon is? http://www.zazzle.com/design/shirt/default.asp?definition=convex%20polygon%20n.%20a%20polygon%20such%20that%20no%20side%20extended%20cuts%20any%20other%20side%20or%20vertex%3b%20it%20can%20be%20cut%20by%20a%20line%20in%20at%20most%20two%20points%20&linkover=true&product_id=235986651833519067&word=convex%20polygon

| Sorry Alain and to your Wife, on the good note of seeing your photos of your healthy plants , I fell asleep. Funny you should say your wife rather leave teaching for being a self sufficient gardener. I left school to live this life back in 1980 but as a student lol. I was only 15 then and it was easy to go along with the idea the oil was running out in the world (perhaps i was 26 years to early). It was easy then to live this life style. I did not need or watch any TV and home computers did not exist (or at least I was not aware of any). Now that the internet is much part of my life it would not be so easy to lead such a simple life but I still enjoy gardening when the internet lets me get into the garden I managed to get in the garden last year. Here is a photo of my tomatoes and sweet corn for 2004: Afraid I did not make that T shirt Alain lol, I googled the word "convexed" to check it and came across this free dictionary http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Convexed And noticed a image of a T shirt for any word that's linked to another site. It made me think of your "I am not a Zebulon T shirts" and I thought what a good way to learn the meaning of unfamiliar words. Sorry binoclard I seen people get annoyed with others for not sticking to the subject of the thread on other forums but it is the nature of a free discussion to go off on a tangent and here on Alain's forum creativity is valued over ridged rules and why one should never pay to much attention the headings here, as you never know where it may end up Ok I will get back to my other thread and show some more photos of my horse's progress

| O nice to hear this Alain. I thought you would not mind so here is another photo heheh but more recent, taken late last year, December 2005. Sorry for the unsightly sheds (corrugated iron and Eucalyptus trees are part of the Australian country side lol) but the early morning mist has a lovely touch I thought I think Solar power is great Alain. I have just one tiny solar cell only about 20cm square, plenty of power to power a fan for a hat sadly our government does not spend much money on solar energy, it is currently spending money on how to burn coal without releasing the harmful carbon (releasing carbon is what causes the green house effect) but no one knows if it will work yet. I would much rather see more money invested in wind and solar power myself. Ok will show horse next | |

| Strange I never found this thread before.
Interesting piece of software, i'll have to recommend it to a few other people who are just learning 3d.
I'll vouch for Pumpkin plants in Australia growing like weeds, I had one which grew from seed in the former location of the compost heap. I grew past 20 meters long towards the end of its life. Then there was the second one which appeared later.
Drank about to 20 liters of water a day too, most of which disappeared into more leaves or the 6 and 2 kilo pumpkins. As it was a small fenced yard (6x6 meters) the two vines covered pretty much most of the area, making it hard to get to the tap root to water it.
I've also grown other strange things, simply because the seeds sprung to life. We had a 6 foot high sunflower, I ate most of the seeds from it if I remember.
The most bazare was the watermellon vine, not only didn't we plant it, it was also growing in the most awfull garbage heavy clay. I figured it would die if I tried to move it. Somehow it manage to produce a 8 kilo watermellon, all I did was water it. The vine itself always looked half dead so I know where all the nourishment went.

LOL so more easy to speak like in real LOL .. Btw , about "IFS facile" , I am happy you tried it , can you tell me if you put the image on the piece after having cut it ??? Because I have to use Texture Transform and it is not easy to have it well done , may be I make some mistake ???? ex http://dumenieu.free.fr/artvrml/wrl/watteau0.wrl marco hou hou are you around ????? !!
