mpeg is a series of tools for coding / decoding various media.
the various tools are called codecs, this stands for coder/decoder

if you are having problems with coding/decoding a particular medium then you need to get hold of the appropriate codecs.

erny should not have to change his media to mono, this is ridiculous
stereo mp3 is the norm these days - in fact it has been so for very many years.

to get codecs you do NOT have to install either mediaplayer, winamp, quicktime or any other spyware or ads.

get hold of the danged codec!

it comes with a media player (should you wish to install it) which will play ALL media including streaming quicktime, media player and realplayer formats, open source under gnu

it will not displace your existing spyware nor will it cost you a penny.
