Well, I would like to thank Alain for providing links of my work concerning "Mixed Reality" to this forum, and inviting me here.

I think that I should provide information of me and of the field I am researhing in. I am a last-year greek student of architecture in Athens. I am 25 years old and I am working on "Mixed Reality" about 2 years. Mixed Reality encompasses all these areas between physical reality and virtual reality, basically "augmented reality" and "augmented virtuality" (you may see http://users.ntua.gr/ar01664/mixed_reality/mixed_reality.htm). A recent project of mine and my professor Yannis Veneris was presented o 1/12/2006 at the international conference about "The Antikythera Mechanism", and I have the hand-out on my site (you may see http://users.ntua.gr/ar01664/antikythera_mechanism/antikythera_mechanism.htm).

Sergey ( Milano , here on LouiseForum ) and his family , a guy we know since ages
So , when I went to look at your work with the New York webcam ,
mop ,
I found easily how you have it working ,
and I found a webcam from Kiev to test that ......

I tried many times to have a webcam but I was lost with the "cache" problem ..
I just found that way : embeding a html page

But of course your script is very better !!

I tested it on my avatar , and I tested it on blaxxun chat in the night ( going to bed at 2 am ! LOL )



all works well , people have just to clic on the rose , then to click on the webcam and on the avatar ...

I will delete that ..... no prob ...

1.Is a pleasure for me to use my code concerning webcams in vrml
2.Your own application concerning the embedment of html to .wrl seems quite interesting, especially for enhancing our interface while being in a vrml world. Could you possibly share the code?
3.As far as study_room.wrl is concerned I' ll come back with the URL, as it seems that there is a problem...

isa got the study_room.wrl , but I have many probs with my IE and I can't see *.png LOL
and I guess they were in ABnet ....

ABnet works well , btw , but you have too , other ways to "upload" wrls in multi user mode , don't know if you saw all :

je suis toujour aussi very nul en anglais !!
je m excuse , pour pure data vas y molo, c est un truc a prendre comme un divertissement style vrml... je croi que tu a pas mal a faire en relisant le topic de pure data doucement , tout le debut y sont expliquer... enfin je crois, cependant il exite un programme parllele a pure data qui s ppel "isadora" en homage a la danceuse isadora ducan (voir wikipedia), danceuse qui invanta la danse moderne, j ai participer a l ecriture de sa definition dans le wikipedia il y a 1 ans,)
bon en gros , je ma ttendai pas a un tel bord.. et maintenant voila qu'isadora se pointe...
c est avec que la technique de jack fonctionne, mais pure data est essentiel car gratuis et equivallebt alors mate le topic de pure data !!
je vais me le relire aussi pour voir les ecris qui ne sont pas delirant !!
et vous voulez en venir ou avec la mixedreality ?

I am an art teacher in a small school , 12 -15 old pupils ,
I had fun with vrml since 4 years , so when I opened LouiseForum to work with some pupils
( cyber classes )
I used it too to share with vrml builders ...
It is the 3D part .....
( btw I use a bit vrml at school sometimes )

I know from web , Jack Barlett , since 4 years , he is a magician who mixes virtual and real ..
I know jacinto from web since 2 years , and met him in Paris 3 times ...

After a moment Jack and jacinto worked together to have a show working ...
How is it ?,

I tell an example :

Jack has a trick with cards in real ,

and on the screen you could see what was the good card choosen ! ok ??



we were there in Paris , on december 26 , isa , I , 2 of my sons , jacinto , etc etc ......other friends too ...

So they are interested in all that ...and me too
Like mop is ....

jacinto is an artist , he paints , uses vrml , etc etc ....

He helped jack with "isadora" to have the show OK ......


and it was / is OK !!



so ......mop is interested in these relationships betwenn real and virtual ...
