This document aims to describe how to provide peer-to-peer network communication in the case where both peers are each behind an individual NAT device. So, where is that central server (the matchmaker or initiator)? Is it on your host? ... or is it somwhere else in the www and could be switched off by surprise? Nicolas Sárközi did chat me on tut's chat to say that hi will not enter in your peer if you did not give him a beer. My President does not work with computers, he is the sailor ... Apropos about ' central server' ... Does know anyone what is a proxi server ? I never understood what it is this proxi server, what is his job, ... and so on ... - Quote :
- And about our good president Traian Băsescu, I wish him succes in killing the communism from Romania. Traian Băsescu is only one realy good president after the colaps of socialism in my country.
Maybe in Vest Europe the socialism and the communism have other meanings, but in East Europe , is as the mafia and corruption.

| http://mixed3d.free.fr/unity3d/fullscreen_tirestatuas2.htm That's very well done, Alain. I understand your enthusiasm about Unity, and share it. BTW : Beside Max and others, Unity also imports from Blender, which is free... and even from AutoCad (lol, that must be a joke! gotta try that one!). But, as you might be finding out, it is not easy to get such spectacular effects, like shown in the Unity3d demos, when you build a world from scratch. So far, Unity3d seems to be good for assembling 3d scenes. The realistic lighting, reflections, shadows, physics etc... are a matter of extra skills, not easy to acheive, and probably, a huge part of the job must be done previously on the modeller (modelling and animations), on photoshop, etc. ... Max, Blender and, not sure if AutoCad, but SolidWorks, do export directly to VRML (at least they did in a time), and the exported files can be viewed directly in a vrml browser (better after chiseling, lol). Could a good VRML world ever be as good as a good Unity3d world? Probably not. But I am sure that a good VRML world can be much better than a bad Unity3d one, and is faster and more easy to do. The upsides of the Unity3d web player : - state of the art rendering - easy networking - compiled javascript - there's almost no logo It's worth a try, but it's no substitute to VRML. P.S.: oups! I guess that I am just jealous about your progress with Unity | |

a nice sentence , and I agree ! Btw I never spent many times to make a master piece in VRML , LOL , but I like a bit 5 or 10 of the files I built among the 10 000 I made , ahaha But I am , yes , now , enthousiastic to try - Quote :

It is not esy to learn the stuff , but I spent thousands of hours on DukeNukem3D editor , LOL , then on Unreal Engine , then VRMLpad so I am a bit ready to learn Unity3D . I will re read your post , it is late now , midnight but what I could say is that , among my last discoverings and tryings , that one seems the mots friendly ( and free ! ) and I re tell , "they" have many demos and examples we could learn from . May be it is not open source ( is it ? ) but they like to share , it seems . Btw , Meribastet just mailed me she will look at ps ; in my last trying I can fire all your statues , LOL will upload that after more other tryings
