samd, "IE 10 beta" is probably the problem, duno. problems with beta versions are normal.
In my Windows 8, ie 10 is a final version, not a beta. Are you using Windows 7?

After I posted something innocuous about Deep Matrix on the BabelX3D forum the post was deleted:

as well as my membership without so much as an explanation or telling me why.
I have tried to ask the powers-that-be at Babelx3d but I have received no reply so I post here.
If my account there had been hacked and someone posted obnoxious stuff in my name I am completely unaware of it.
Otherwise, I can only surmise my DM post was viewed as spam which is very confusing in light of the above Babelx3d "About" page.
Hence Babelx3d does indeed live up to its name -CONFUSING.

Opps, by your post I imagine there is something wrong with the server functioning, indeed. I totally understand the tone of your post but can assure you that this is some kind of technical abnormality babelx3d is under now. Side info: we have been under heavy spam registrations for some time now.

Before other saying I must state that I am found of deep matrix server/system project and a supporter, for many reasons. Technical reasons, educational and also because, over many years, you have been passing to us freely so many important knowledge about vrml/x3d, avatars and multiuser systems.
In no situation I would be associated with a portal/forum that does any kind of censorship to your system or any other. I can assure you and everyone that we mean what we say in the about page. Otherwise would make no sense.

I confirm you posted some weeks ago about deep matrix and remember answering to your post. But I can not find it now or your username. I don't know why this is happening and sent a message to Paulo (he takes care of babel system) so he enlightens me about this disagreeable situation.

For the moment I am sorry and waiting info about this unfortunate incident.

Accessing babelx3d/abnet servers with firefox and chrome

there is information on how to access with other browsers by using IE TAB extension. Yet IE Tab is simply a trick to use IE engine under a tab in firefox or chrome and having a IE 10 beta installed will possibly not help in your situation. But, then again, it can help because IE Tab puts the IE in compatibility mode in a tab.

If you do not want to turn back to IE 9 (I think you should because a IE 10 beta version is highly problematic and will probably through you issues in other situations) look if IE 10 Beta has a compatibility icon and try clicking on it.

i think babel only works to people who have only bs contact 7.212 .
but claim to work with all bs contact versions 6.1 ~ 7.212 ....
please check if you can access it with older version .. or its blocks to you to only 7.212

Hi all , as I tried BS 8 some days ago and as I felt it was slow ,
I desintsalled it and  installed an older version, may be 6.etc , I dont remember.
When I jumped to the babel world it was not opening.
So I installed 7.2 as it is asked.
and it was OK.

Yes, you where right!

This is a side effect of the aim to make it easy for newbies to install bs contact automatically while accessing a world (without the need to go to bitmanagement, download and install process).

Now that is slightly changed in this way: while trying to access if you don't have bs contact installed or have a version prior to 7.212 you are invited to install/update automatically while accessing; if you deny install/update, the system tries allowing you to access (as long as you have, at least, ver 6.1).  Yet, because some bs contact versions are problematic (even in the installation) this behavior is not guaranteed in all situations, so it is emphatically advised to install ver 7.212.

Yes, each time you access will keep asking to install until it senses 7.212 is installed.

That is the necessary trade off if we want to "make it easy for newbies to install bs contact automatically while accessing a world (without the need to (1) go to bitmanagement website, (2)download and (3)install process)."

can you do your website to work with newst versions but still asking from the user to install the 7.212??
because if yes its will be good

Yes, could be done, but over 7.212 there are several ugly probs with avatars.
Soon will come up a new version of babelx3d server, for bs contact 8.1 and previous versions, that will solve these version issues (induced by bitmanagement).
