| Hi All,
I spent all last weekend weeding out the Java 7 JVM bug.
Here is a slightly new version 1.05:
http://www.deepmatrix.org/Downloads.html
There are no changes to the server, so the public server port and and address remains the same. As you can see the just the client jar is also offered so you can update your client_application folder alone if you are running Java 7 or plan to update to it.

Russ The basic entry matrixworld is problem in my computer's , the prime city entry is ok... my interrogation is : why ? the server is too slow for matrixentryworld ? what solution? can be primecityworld can put in the basic package? .... | |

.... Hi Jicer, I have to shoot in the dark a little here with an "educated guess". When the Matrix world refuses to load and you get booted are you getting this statement in the Command Window: "MISSION CRITICAL PROTO WALKER NOT FOUND" ??? I have had this happen every once and a while to me, especially on a my relatively underpowered IMac. The Matrix world actually loads from your hard drive and is not downloaded from the server. It can be found in: DeepMatrixIP9-v1_05/client_application/world folder. I made a slight change to the matrix.wrl file to see if this might solve the problem. I simply moved the Walker Proto instance higher on the scene graph so it is found first. You can download the new matrix.wrl here: http://www.deepmatrix.org/downloads/new_matrix_world/matrix.wrl Just replace the original in your world folder and please let me know how it works! In terms of individual artist portfolio folders on the server -it is a good idea and similar to a set up Cybertown had in its Suburbs worlds showcase (The only thing good about CT imho) There were special worlds there a user entered with a menu selection by artists. | Hi Jicer, It is best to start with a simple test for your system to see if it works and go from there. Both the worlds you are trying to load (Prime City and Matrix) are fairly complex. Try to set the Lobby (the world Rick Kimball made for Abnet) as your start world and see how that loads. You can get the win_public_matrixclientrc file with the start world as Lobby here: http://www.deepmatrix.org/downloads/Lobby_win_public_matrixclientrc/win_public_matrixclientrc Please save your current win_public_matrixclientrc file and replace it with the above download and let me know how it works. | Hi Jacinto, Before I can go on I need to find out more about curious print-outs in your command window. At the very top it says: "C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application\Win_Client>cd C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\c lient_application" So you are using DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04 but with the new updated 1.05 DeepMatrixIP9client.jar However, after initial loading of the client showing log-in window when the Java begins to get the VRML browser it says: "EAIViewer slocalHost_IP: 127.0.0.1 on port: 4848 C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application>cd C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_05\client_appli cation Le chemin d'accès spécifié est introuvable. C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_05\client_application>"C...." Evidently, somehow you are switching to a "DeepMatrixIP9-v1_05\client_appli cation" directory! It should NOT be doing that! It ShOULD BE saying: "EAIViewer slocalHost_IP: 127.0.0.1 on port: 4848 C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application>cd C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_appli cation C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application>"C...." Notice how all the directories are v1_04! I have both v1_04 and v1_05 on my hard drive and when I run DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04 it does not switch to v1_05: Part of my command window output: "EAIViewer slocalHost_IP: 127.0.0.1 on port: 4848 C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application>cd C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_appli cation The system cannot find the path specified. The system cannot find the path specified. C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application>"C:\Program Files\Instant Player\bin\I" Notice there is no mention of v1_05! The brower scripts got changed in the C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application folder! Download DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04.zip file again (it is still available for download) and copy both the sub-folders "Win_Client" and "browser_scripts" folders from client_application folder and replace those in your C:\DeepMatrixIP9-v1_04\client_application directory. thank you Russ! I think I found a solution to your problem, but please rectify your path problem first. and see if that works first. If it doesn't try out this new Test Client jar for the client_application folder: http://www.deepmatrix.org/downloads/test_client/DeepMatrixIP9client.jar If it solves your problem, I am going to put out a v1.06 with this fix.
