One thing I will be most curious about is user management and object management as well as how easy it will be to modify existing VRML source to work in the BS Collaborative environment.

With a little file tampering with Blaxxun's site can be made to live again. For those who remember we had to do the same thing last year too.

Open the 'hosts' file with whatever editor you like, I used 'wordpad' (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts on my PC), and add the following two entries:

80.190.134.206 developer.blaxxun.com

hosts is the filename and has got no extension.

Change it's extension to txt (the context menue does not show the option "Open with") paste these two lines provided by fab:

save the file, delete the extension ... and

enjoy the blaxxun demo chat again

Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Windows XP Home c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Be aware of the fact, that in this case /hosts is NOT a folder but a file with no extension.

Got that from http://accs-net.com/hosts/how_to_use_hosts.html


If the file is not there, just write one hosts.txt file, and save it there (use a plain text editor and remove the extension after saving.

... I'm not sure why I am so happy about the blaxxun free zone being back, when I am working so hard on my own 3DMU stuff ...

Probably VRML loves Blaxxun, and I think that it's sort of fairness to love them.

so I cpied it , and renamed it as " HOSTS" without extension
