I must add that when I clicked at school , on your youtube link , Thyme ,
-school where I spent 4 for years , and will continue - to use seamless3d with 100 pupils each year -
I got
" your are not alloweed" !
because robots stop youtube at school !
the argument is that many stold things are uploaded on youtube , and thats true , but here we had a true movie made by and artit , and it is said
"not aloweed "
I am very tired with all that
dont know if it is the same all over the world in schools ...
I am very tired with robots

Sorry to hear about the bad robots suppressing artistic freedom Alain, yeah I am sure you will find similar bad bots at work here in Australia too but please don’t give up on all robots, not all are designed to rob your freedom, think of the hoppies (the ones that don’t throw bombs at you)
I will try uploading it to my site (independent of youtube) then it will be ok?
The strange thing is I found flv format was better quality than when I tried mp4 or avi, for this movie at least so I will look for where you showed me how to add some flash to play a flv movie from a html page.

Well , you yube is intersting for the "relationships" , it is a social network I mean .
But we could do both , having stuff on youtube or Dailymotion
( for the moment Dailymotion is still alloweed at school !!! all that is so stupid , ! )

Thanks Alain for your time helping me, you’re a very generous person !
Not that it is very important but can these videos be embedded in your forum like a YouTube movie?
I did not know about Dailymotion so I checked it out and signed up for an account. I see it is much like youtube but unlike youtube, Dailymotion don't cache their videos for playback, they stream everything ! I have always hated streaming because if you have a slow internet connection (which I still have despite it being a lot faster than dialup), your video will constantly keep stopping and starting which is not much fun at all. I can only think streaming is done to prevent piracy.
I can see another reason why it is good to at least have the option of uploading videos directly to your own website as YouTube has some big problems in regard to False DMCA Claims being made by people who do not care about free speech. According to what I have read and heard on the subject, anyone who does not like your politics can get your youtube account disabled by claiming your in breach of the American DMCA copyright law even if you are not. it is said YouTube does not have the people to look into each claim and so they suspend your account automatically with no questions asked and that if YouTube does not remove your content from their site they risk themselves getting into trouble from the law. This is an example of how a law that was intended to give people rights can take peoples rights away.
I love youtube and will continue to use it, I think it is a great way to get your content exposed but I can see too the importance of not being at the mercy of a centralized system for displaying your content.

I tried the code you have on your page , Thyme ,
( just adding http://www.seamless3d.com/movie/
where it was necessay
- even for
http://www.seamless3d.com/movie/player.swf
etc )
and That works
ps :
I went to seamless forum to paste the same code , reediting my last message there , but that doesn't work ,
it depends how the phpb forum is configured .....

Ha ha isa! Alain!
Do you realize this is the 1st time we have ever heard our Maestro's actual voice?
More of a voice-dub than a voice-sync
Still, the animation is great!
What I envy most, thyme, is your successful incorporation of blaxxun-like voices into your Seamless chat (that I experienced at your birthday party today).
I plan to stay alive and watching long enough to see you accomplish voice-sync combined with digital voice.
Happy Birthday and Good luck! Yours Colin

Thanks very much Isa, X and Alain
After 3 days I finally was able to make a slide show work in High Definition lol I tried using windows movie maker first but the quality was disappointing and so decided to use FFmpeg in the end using a simple little C++ script I wrote for the task of specifying the time each picture is shown.
Thyme's 2010 Birthday Party on YouTube Narrated:

For all the work I did it would be a crime not to watch it in High Definition! lol
I added text of my narration to the right (click (more info) in youtube) for anyone who has trouble understanding my English lol.

Thanks Alain for the birthday photos
3D models on YouTube Made by Neoreina Using Seamless3d
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoQX2iWlWso
Please checkout Neoreina's wonderfull 3D models she has made using Seamless3d on her YouTube channel. Neoreina is an established artist on YouTube with many uploads of her cartoon drawings that will soon reach 6 million views ! Only recently she has been learning how to use seamless3d. Neoreina says it was difficult at first and that it took her a few weeks before she could use seamless properly but she has demonstrated perseverance gets results. It is important to note too that Neoreina has had no help from me apart from the tutorials that were already on the seamless3d site. I am delighted to hear Neoreina wants to continue advancing her skills using seamless.

I don’t want to scare Neoreina away Alain lol. I think many artists are reluctant to upload their models in a format others can easily thieve. I remember gammonbrat being upset by her models being stolen in blaxxun. Since Neoreina comes to seamless from a cartoon background, I would guess she is more interested in making movies that tell a story than making interactive worlds. The truth is I actually feel glee Neoreina is outside of the vrml community as she demonstrates seamless draws support outside the vrml/x3d community which is not growing in numbers.
There was a time I thought it was sacrilegious to use movie format online because 3D vector graphics would use a fraction of the bandwidth (computer games, SL and VRML use 3D vector graphics). However today the reality is I do not watch any online movies in a 3D vector format and I spend way more time watching online movies than spending my time playing computer games or chatting in 3D. Though I can still understand why I once held the view I once had, it seems almost irrelevant today considering realistic movies (non 3D animated) are so commonly watched online. To cling to the past believing its a crime to watch 3D animations in a non vector graphics format would hold back 3D animations rather than help its cause. Just about everyone today watches YouTube, there's no problem with installing the viewer and there are no floating logos to spoil things. The beauty of YouTube is that it does not draw all of its support from 3D animations so your 3D animations have many more potential viewers than if the format was limited to doing 3D animations only. If YouTube and/or flash were to go bankrupt this would not spell the end of 3D movie formats online. Unlike 3D vector graphics it's relatively simple for the artists to switch to another movie format. There is absolutely no obligation for artists who use seamless to contribute to seamless chat, I think movies are great in themselves, but it is inevitable that Seamless Chat (which uses 3D vector graphics) will draw support from artists who make movies for YouTube who also like to chat in 3D.

Yes yes , you are true , I agree , it is a very good way too to make movies , and I played making some with seamless too . ( I discovered Povray from you , Thyme ..)
The ones Neoreina makes are very nice .
Indeed my point was , but it was not a critic or a trap , for her or for you , LOL , was because she captures the movements inside the editor .
But we are more free to capture the movie if the wrl works , adding backgrounds and other things ...
But you are right too about "she is not in the vrml community" ...
All that makes me thing that you could point more that feature in your page "features" and too having exemples of movies or links in your gallery page .... You could catch some others guys wanting to make movies ...

Though I plan to add more camera aids for making movies, currently It should be at least just as easy to capture movement inside seamless as it is in a vrml viewer, and to add a scene but I agree with you Alain that I need to do more to show how to make movies but the work on the new seamless has been competing for my time since last year, however many of the new features will help to make movies. I agree too that I should ask Neoreina and Isa if I can add images of their work to the seamless gallery as this would show seamless is still alive and evolving. I don’t know why everything takes so long, I have spent the last 3 days upgrading Ep's computer using her new computer parts that have been gathering dust since Christmas, but I am getting there . Recently I have added a new youtube channels section to my links page:
www.seamless3d.com/links
(which is mostly full of dead vrml links), it has your alaindum channel at the top of the list hehe Speaking of your YouTube channel, please accept my friend invitation alain
I will upload a new pre release of 2.161 soon that will allow the artists to make movies without needing Pov-Ray. This will NOT replace all the good things Pov-Ray can do (support for Pov-Ray will remain) but it will be easier for beginners to make movies.
