| Wow Isa I am impressed by your femme5.wrl file Can I put a link to it on the seamless3d forum please? And I am very happy to hear you find the NurbsLathe as easy to use as the BezierLathe I see too that you have played with the BendyLathe Have you tried tugging the BendyLathe's control points while the showRingControlPoints checkbox is checked? Your MOUCHE looks like it could have been made with a BendyLathe but you were ahead of me again Alain Thanks for your help by making examples Alain I do much appreciate this, sorry I have not yet made the radial tug easier to resize, I was hoping to do this for 1.128 but ran out of time which is so typical for me but I will make this a priority for the next version. Hi ROYOTAM, this thing Alain has made is a piece of pipe that breaths !!! | |

it is not very important , and may be a bit unuseful , more funny would be to "morph" the bendy thing ( and others ) as wee see it when we moove the points in seamless ! a sort of "worm" animated made in 3 clicks LOOL ( as your "old" worm ) I mean , ...without having to coordinate interpotar ) may be I am too lazy LOL | |

| Seamless has a Morpher node of it's own Alain but I am sure it could be made easier to use and I have not yet written a real tutorial to show how to use it except for perhaps this: http://www.seamless3d.com/tut/node/morpher.html but this tutorial I see really needs to be updated so please do not waste time on this tutorial Alain but you may want to look at the example morpher file. Your photo looks great Isa and Ep much liked your femme avatar I showed her. I like the new smooth looking long dress But I have found a few bugs in the BendyLathe and so too has Lilly, apparently the color does not work I will fix this soon however (in a few days) . You can use the ColorSweep instead for now to color parts. I have started making a new female avatar too that uses only NURBS: http://www.seamless3d.com/img/080128_blue_bikini_nurbs_girl.smls http://www.seamless3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=213&sid=a1502763cc26eb80ccb537bc00b64696 I will do more work on her tomorrow merci | |

| Subject: Radial Tug Radius Control Point for 2.129 Fri 1 Feb - 22:06 | |
| Hi Alain, Isa and All, I have just uploaded 2.129 which has the new Radial tug radius control point added and which has a number of bugs fixed: http://www.seamless3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=214 Sorry Alain I know you would have preferred better support for coordinate interpolation but I am still thinking about how this could be done to make it as easy if not easier than using vrmlpad. I think it would be good if Seamless had a new node designed for this task. The node would contain a list of staic models. Each model in the list would be posed for each key frame. The node would simply interpolate from one model to the next in the list. Each model would be contained in a Seamless node. This should make this kind of animation much easier to update because the coordinmates would not have to copied and pasted each time a key frame is modified. This "model interpolator" node would be output to a CoordinateInterpolator node when output for VRML | |

| I always thought , and I said it , that a great part of your "art" is in seamless3d , Thyme , the software . I don't mean that the bikini girl or other stuff is not original art , of course it is , but I always admire how you solve some questions in the seamless software , always in a "minimal" good way . It is worderful to look at this "small" improvement in the radial tug , easy to use , simple to understand ... cyan or red , humm , I have no prob with red , it is OK . I admire how you solve problems like that , scuse if it is too much friendly to tell it But it is how I feel : "art" is in your software too , and I am very proud to had been able to follow how it had been improved , step after step .. Even if I am not the best one to use it . ... the "model interpolator sounds very nice too , I looked at your morpher smls excample , yesterday , and I remembered that I tried it motnhs ago , but , to tell teh truth , it was not easy so I tell you good luck to get a more simple way ) reedit archive .... for andy http://dumenieu.free.fr/louizeforum/seamless/coordinterp.wrl | |

| Hi Seamless Friends, the big wait is finally over Open Source Seamless3d 2.130 (including French and English versions) is available for download from: http://www.seamless3d.com/download This version is largely the result of 4 different projects: Adding a BVH import feature, Developing a ModelMorpher to make coordinate interpolation easier than using VrmlPad. Making textures easier Dragging aids for the NurbsPatch node. Also a new field the pivotPoint was added to the part node while developing the BVH import feature. This field should greatly simplify making anything animated and perhaps will make the CenterJoint node obsolete. For instructions on how to import and use BVH files see: Importing BVH files:http://www.seamless3d.com/tut/bvh/index.html For instructions on how to use the new model ModelMorpher see: Model Morphing:http://www.seamless3d.com/tut/morphing_models/index.html There is no longer any need to convert a SphereBuild, CylinderBuild, ConeBuild, TorusBuild, BezierLaheBuild, BoxBuild, RectangleBuild, NurbsLathe or a BendyLathe to a NurbsPatch to be able to texture the shapes generated by these nodes because a TextureMapper can now be directly plugged into them. Also when any of these nodes are added using the tool bar a TextureMapper is automatically added to the build node if the Seamless node has a TextureMapper plugged in. For instructions on how to use the TextureMapper see the updated: Texture Mapping Tutorial:http://www.seamless3d.com/tut/texture_mapping/index.html NurbsPatch Dragging AidsWhen a NurbsPatch control point back faces the user it no longer can be clicked and dragged unless it is already selected. This prevents the user from accidently dragging control points we don't see or intend to drag. The NurbsPatch also has 4 new fields added to assist editing the patch. showAll when checked shows all control points. When unchecked all obsolete mid control points (such as those derived from a lathe) are kept hidden from view and are automatically calculated from the visible control points when ever a control point is dragged. beginSP causes the first ring of control points to act like a single control point when dragged. This is very useful for shapes derived from lathes, sphere, cylinders and cones. endSP is the same as beginSP except it applies the last ring of control points. uJoinEnds causes the control points on the right edge to behave as if they are joined to the left edge (the vertical imaginary seam where the control points meet). This field will be set after converting from a lathe, sphere, cylinder or cone. The NurbsPatch's beginSP, endSP & uJoinEnds fields are similar to the Stem node's beginSP, endSP and joinEnds. In context to a NurbsPatch they apply to the control points and in context to a Stem they apply to the mesh vertices. Many thanks to Griff for first opening my eyes to BVH back in September 2005, to Lilly for testing the new texture features, and to Alain for his feed back which led to the development of the ModelMorpher. kind regards to All | |

| Thanks for testing out the new ModelMorpher Isa I just made roughly what you show in this screen shot using a sphere and a nurbs lathe and a nurbs lathe converted to a bendy lathe for the second model and find it animates fine in seamless but when output to a wrl I see yes Sorry Seamless does crash LOL I doubt the bendy is the cause of the crash it should be the same as a normal lathe. The crash is probably because more than one part is being used. I will fix this bug and upload the new version hopefully within 24 hours PS thanks for your help Alain
